Der April war geprägt von viel Sonnenschein, Kreativität und Krankheit.

Am Starnberger See im Haus Buchenried der MVHS habe ich in die Welt der Holzverbindungen hineingeschnuppert. Mit den beruhigenden Ausblicken über den See, den guten Gesprächen und der Auseinandersetzung mit dem Werkstoff Holz habe ich ein kreatives und entspannendes Wochenende am See verbracht. 

Ein weiterer Baustein meiner Weiterbildung zur ArtCounselor am IHP und der Akademie Faber-Castell gab mir wiedereinmal anschaulich Einblicke in die Wirksamkeit kreativer Methoden. Ich habe noch keine ausgereiften Ideen, wie ich das Gelernte zukünftig in meinen Arbeitsalltag integriere - auch wenn sich so mancher Gedanke langsam immer klarer zeigt - aber auf alle Fälle freue ich mich darauf!

Und mein Highlight im April war, dass ich meinen eigenen überspannten Ansprüchen an Perfektion und resultierender Unzufriedenheit mit einer kleinen kunsttherapeutischen Übung begegnet bin und mir so meinen Aufenthalt am See noch weiter versüßt habe.

April was marked by lots of sunshine, creativity, and illness.

At Lake Starnberg, at Haus Buchenried of the MVHS, I got a taste of the world of wood joinery. With the calming views over the lake, the good conversations, and the engagement with the material of wood, I spent a creative and relaxing weekend by the water.

Another building block in my further training as an ArtCounselor at the IHP and the Akademie Faber-Castell once again gave me vivid insights into the effectiveness of creative methods. I don’t yet have fully developed ideas about how I will integrate what I’ve learned into my daily work—even though some thoughts are gradually becoming clearer—but I’m definitely looking forward to it!

And my highlight in April was that I was able to confront my own overly high expectations of perfection, and the resulting dissatisfaction, with a small art therapy exercise—making my stay by the lake even more enjoyable.
