iN FEBRUARY WRiTiNG iMAGES ABOUT HOPE HELP OUT WHERE iT iS NEEDED DOWN, DOWN ON BOTH KNEES BACK UP AGAiN NOW REACH OUT BE AN ANCHOR iN FEBRUARY WRiTiNG
I think this one needs a little explanation. So I took my sketchbook - it's not really a sketchbook, as I put not only sketches into it - and I wrote something like a diary entry on one page. I just let the words flow. No thinking, just writing until the page was full. After that I searched for the words I wanted to conserve, to form into something new. And then I got creative! I secured my chosen words with tape and played a little with colors and ink. I think this whole process took 40 min, and I loved it! What a wonderful prompt!

Svenja, “DOWN, DOWN ON BOTH KNEES / BACK UP AGAIN” feels deeply resilient to me. And “BE AN ANCHOR” gives the hope here a quiet steadiness I really feel.
