      Here are my thoughts to your question: all of the TWiNS are done in the same manner. First the painting than the writing. In the beginning the form of the writing was not limited to haikus. Now most of the time time I write haikus to acompany the painting. So the form of the written part is a haiku. As I started with this kind of combining paintings with texts I searched for an iconic name for them and the TWiNS were born.
      So back to your question: as I didn’t know there was already a form out there for combining both (shame on me and thanks to you for letting me now about the haigas) I think the TWiNS could/should be called haigas but the written part is more often than not a haiku. And as I Iike the idea of fraternal twins who complement each other I will stay with calling them TWiNS. But as it seams they are also haigas. Thank you for giving me something to ponder on!
